Last 2 bodies found; rescue work ended
The two remaining bodies of miners trapped inside a coalmine in Dalaguete, Cebu after an explosion last Dec. 10 were retrieved at 11:30 a.m. last Dec. 24.
The Dalaguete Police Station identified the miners as Manuel Lanogan, 45, of Dumalan, Dalaguete and Gregorio Amad, 35, of Barangay Ablan, Dalaguete.

The bodies of Lanogan and Amad were taken to St. William Funeral Parlor for autopsy.
The rescuers from the Bureau of Fire Protection, led by Supt. Aderson Comar, and engineers from the Department of Energy also concluded its operation and packed up to join their families for Christmas.
The coalmine is located in Barangay Dumalan, 20 kilometers from the town proper.
The six other victims were identified as Francisco Ybañez, 43, of Ablayan, Dalaguete; Boyet Heraldez, 25, of Barangay Inayagan, Naga; Hermino Zuniega, 25, of Dumalan, Dalaguete; Nelson Villacis, 39, of Ablayan, Negros Oriental; Jaime Sanchez, 42, of Dumalan, Dalaguete; and Antonio Jose, 37, of Ablayan, Dalaguete.
