Reli wrests title from Pamaybay
Rogelio Reli and Christy Sevilleno copped the top prizes in the 25th Halad Kang Mano Amon Run Saturday in Danao City.
Reli dislodged Men’s Open defending champion Tirso Pamaybay after crossing the finish line over a minute ahead of the dethroned champion.
Sevilleno, for her part, retained her Women’s Open title by withering the challenge of Joery Ann Lee and Merlita Arias.
Reli, who clocked in at 35 minutes and 24 seconds, received P2,000, while Pamaybay, who finished in 37:16, won P1,000.
Rounding out the Men’s Open top five were Riez Enriquez (37:58), Glenn Tantug (41:02) and Charlie Veloso (42:10), who received P500, P300 and P200, respectively.
Sevilleno also received P2,000, while second-placer Lee got P1,000. Arias, who wound up third, received P500.
Other winners were John Philip Duenas and Phacel Genegobio (Danao Residents Men and Women’s division); Jerry Laurente (Danao Executives Men), Francis Edar (Elementary Boys), Lorenz Mae Villacorta (Elementary Girls), Jude Thaddeus Rivera (High School Boys), May Raboy (High School Girls), Gilbert Cimafranca (College Boys) and Liezl Calao (College Girls).
