Speak out: Philippines and Iran
By John F. Goepper

Considering that Iran has been accused of being involved in terrorism, it is really appaling for President Arroyo to allow trading between the Philippines and Iran.

This is the very same Iran that has expressed a desire to wipe Israel from the map and raised doubts about the Holocaust.

Other democratic nations refuse to have any type of dealings with Iran, so why is President Arroyo allowing such a travesty to happen here?

This just shows other nations that it is okay to deal with terrorist states.

So exactly what kind of message is President Arroyo sending to the United States and the rest of the world?

Is she saying that it's acceptable to have financial dealings with Iran just because it has something that the Philippines desperately needs?
