CIIS, LC nail customs hoops wins
Customs Intelligence and Investigation Services (CIIS) and LC Customs Brokerage routed their foes in the Customs Employees Brokers’ Union Collectors’ Cup doubleheader at Punta Princesa’s Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym Thursday night.
Playmaker Dennis Amante scored 22 points and center Ferdie Laraga added 18 to power CIIS to an 82-62 annihilation of Assessment in the 35-above division, while Kenneth Maningo scattered 20 points in leading LCC Brokerage to a 91-73 blowout of Purcia Transport Systems in the 35-below division.
Former University of San Carlos stalwart Danny Infantado added 14 points and Alvin Bonje chipped in with 11 for the powerhouse CIIS five, which erected a double-digit advantage, 45-31, at halftime en route to snagging its fourth win in five games.
Jun Borromeo topscored with 16 points for Assessment, which also drew 12 points from Rey Pernito and 11 from Olan Sameon.
