Market interest prompts extension of fair
The interest of the market in the 7th Sinulog Export Overruns and Consumer Bazaar has prompted trade organizer L.A Ducut and Company Inc. to extend the 12-day fair.
L.A Ducut managing partner Lilibeth Abais said the company is now talking with the exhibitors on the extension of the event, which supposedly ends today.
Commitment
“We will still route the terms and conditions to exhibitors today. Their commitment will determine the decision,” she told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.
The bazaar, held at the Cebu Trade Hall of SM City Cebu, showcases a mix of locally produced, export quality and imported products, such as crafts and furniture from different regions.
“We intend to bring to Cebu each year crafts that depict Filipino ingenuity to add a different character and shopping experience to (consumers during) the Sinulog festivity,” Abais said.
Experience
The company, which has over 40 years of experience in event organizing and management, noted an increasing interest and patronage by the local market for homegrown products and talents.
Some of the more than 100 exhibitors are Bacolod’s export-quality knitted wear, Laguna’s handcrafted and high-fashion wooden bags and Capiz-made curios, lamps and Christmas lanterns. (JBN)
