Carolinians Inc. inducts officers, new board of directors

Carolinians Incorporated, the umbrella organization of all alumni associations of the University of San Carlos held its Board of Directors induction of officers in simple ceremonies at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu recently.

Carolinians Inc. Board of Directors’ new set of officers are president, Dr. Marie Ernestine D. Fajatin, vice president Arch. M.A. Lizeta L. Uy, secretary Brenda Yap Yu, treasurer Dr. Ramon S. del Fierro, auditor Lynde Ben B. Lachica and P.I.O. April May T. Ramos.

Members include Arch. Arnold B. Bacolod, Cleofe K. Delfino, Fe R. Doldolea, Dr. Val S. Espina, Jovina Mardonia S. Fernandez, Efren C. Flaminia. Atty. Joan S. Largo, Atty. Sylvia A. Suarez and Engr. Rodulfo D. Vale.

USC President Rev. Fr. Roderick C. Salazar, Jr., SVD addressed the group saying, “We need to bond together and recognize the oneness of Carolinians and put together a veritable program of development for the association and the university.”

Salazar also noted the need to honor people who share in the ideals of the university: Scientia, Virtus, Devotio; noting that Science is not enough to mold a total human being. Virtue is needed and these virtues are manifested in works done.

Devotion is the life that one lives from the vow that one makes and dedicating your whole life to what you believe in.
