CCSC football field to be cleaned up

After the Sinulog hooplah, the Cebu football community can now stop grumbling about the lack of a playing field as the stage on the Cebu City Sports Center football field will be dismantled and matches will again be allowed in Cebu’s lone stadium.

“The stage will be gone by the end of this week since it can’t be dismantled that easy,” CCSC manager Ricky Ballesteros said.

After the stage is dismantled, the grass will be leveled and the debris taken out.

Last year, Ballesteros had the barren field replanted for it to be green in time for the opening of the 23rd Southeast Asian Games. (ML)
