Speak out: Developing the Ramos public market
By Philippine Professional's Group Inc.

Ramos Public Market should be transformed into a premier public market since it is located almost at the center of the city.

The original stallholders should be the first to occupy the new stalls. Nobody should sell their wares outside the market, thus ambulant vendors, vulcanizing shops, painting shops, carenderias, and squatter shanties should be demolished.

The rest of the open spaces should be used as low cost parking areas for market customers and the remaining areas landscaped.

The City’s demolition team is now demolishing the shanties and other eyesore structures, but we observe that the structures are rebuilt the following day.

Roads around the market should be repaired and no structure should be allowed to encroach along Ramos St. A sidewalk should be constructed.

Aside from the new F. Ramos building, the barangay hall, gymnasium and all other structures should be demolished to highlight the market.
