Prohhorov: Thank you, Danny, Sal

Great potentials
There were two Cebuanos chosen by God who sent me some religious items. Those were invaluable gifts that stirred up a lot of faith in my family, especially when my AA Michelle was in a critical condition.
Danny of San Miguel Corporation sent a blessed Sto. Nino holy water container. We placed the holy water sent to us from the Lady of Lourdes in it. AA Michelle would talk to the Sto. Nino every night, asking Him to heal her.
Sal, the creative fashion designer of Salvador Malto, sent a statue of Our Lady of Manaoag with its copy of the novena prayer.
Would you believe that AA Michelle may not be completely well but she lost a lot of weight from 29 kilos down to 22 kilos during the recent weeks. Her waistline has gone from 34 inches down to 26 inches. Unbelievable. But what is so unexplainable is how come her lab results shows that she is still in a critical condition! That the doctors could not explain.
Well, I was just glad that AA Michelle was able to spend Christmas and New Year with us. That was all what we wanted for Christmas. Nothing else. It was granted. That must be a miracle to have lab tests showing critical levels but physically, she was bubbly.
Looks like Sto. Nino and the Lady of Manaoag heard the prayers. Thank you to Dan and Sal. With their thoughtfulness, even a 4-year-old child’s faith had been nourished. Thank you to these two men who have great hearts to take time from this materialistic world to send a little girl such faith-enriching gifts.
I salute these guys. It is really admirable to know two guys who have such faith. We know that it is usually the females who go into deep prayers. , who buy religious gifts for their friends. We have never even met but they just read this once-a-week column and went all the way to mail their gifts. Can you believe that? I am sure they have better things to do. They do not even have to care for a 4-year-old sick girl. They are a rare example of an excellent breed of humanity. Something which is hard to maintain these days. You know that feeling of being able to be sensitive to the cries of others, to be able to see what others refuse to see because they do not want to help, to be able to do an extra effort to prove that God is always there.
For the Cebuanos, this is another example of the Sto. Nino great healing touch. For the devotees of the Lady of Manaoag, this only proves that The Lady will always listen to us through the Little Jesus.
AA Michelle may be back in the hospital anytime now for her evaluation but at least we had the whole family together last Christmas season.
