PBB winner Nene on Maalaala
She’s brave, plucky, intelligent and admired. And she’s also a millionaire. But with all her recent success, people are still wondering what it is that drives Nene Tamayo, the first-ever Pinoy Big Brother winner. After 100 days watching her on the first-ever teleserye ng totoong buhay, fans still want to know the full stories behind all the real-life drama that Nene’s time in the Big Brother House hinted at.
Tonight, ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya brings the journey of “Kumander Nene” to full dramatic life, in an episode directed by Jerry Lopez-Sineneng and written by Arlene Tamayo.
The episode centers on Nene’s drive and ambition to make the most of her considerable intelligence and talents, and how that comes back to her complicated relationship with her parents. With a mother incapable of showing affection or appreciation to anyone, to a constantly absent father, Nene’s home was a source of heartache to her. So how did she use that difficult home life to succeed in another house – the Pinoy Big Brother House?
Meryll Soriano plays Nene in this emotional episode, with Jacklyn Jose and Lito Pimentel as Nene’s parents Maya and Kayo, and Bernard Palanca as Nene’s first love Mark.
Kristel Fulgar plays the young Nene, with Mico and Marco Aytona, Rachel Garucho and Alexi Ramos playing her other siblings.
