Sirlitz basketball clinic set in April

THE Sirlitz One-on-One Basketball Training Camp will open its summer clinic on April 3 at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

SirLitz One-on-One camp director Edsel Vallena said that there will be two sessions per day – one at 10 a.m. to 12 noon and another at 1-3 p.m.

Vallena said the clinic, which is open to players aged six and above, will be divided into the beginners course, which will be in the morning, and advanced, which will be in the afternoon.

“I want those who enrolled in the basic course last year to join the advanced course, since they already know the fundamentals,” said Vallena, a four-time Cebu Basketball Federation champion coach and former Visayas trainer of the RP team.

Last year, more than 200 enrolled in the clinic and he expects the same number of enrollees this summer.

“All of my students and their parents were satisfied with what they learned last year. I can guarantee that I have infused additional techniques for the kids to learn,” he added.

Among the techniques that will be included are Korean shooting, Korean footwork, scientific dribbling and scientific defense.

Registration fee is P1,000 inclusive of a ball, reversible jersey, T-shirt and other freebies. Registration is on April 1-2 from 1-5 p.m. at the Guadalupe Sports Complex. (RCM)
