Easier payment for state dues

Companies can now pay all their government obligations through the online services of Aboitiz-led Union Bank of the Philippines.

During the quarterly forum of the Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (Cedf-it) at the City Sports Club Cebu last week, Union-Bank first regional head and first vice president Levi Villanueva said UnionBank’s OneHub.Gov is a single platform that allows companies to pay their obligations with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Philhealth and soon, Pag-ibig.

“It’s one access in paying your government obligations, one portal to disburse your government commitments. No more accessing different websites, no more interfacing with various government entities, no more manual filing and paying; just one key, one portal, one platform,” he said.

The SSS hub accepts all types of payments, such as monthly premium contributions and various loans, including salary, stock investment, housing and hospitalization.

Villanueva said companies have the option of paying SSS remittances using the conventional over-the-counter practice or the SSSHub, a web-based system of submitting reports and payments.

Electronic filing

The BIR has also accredited Unionbank as premier provider of corporate e-payments for the electronic filing and payment system.

“With this facility in place, companies are now able to pay their internal revenue taxes online (at) real-time,” Villanueva said.

The UnionBank has also entered into a specialized collection program with the Philhealth.

The program is designed to provide companies convenience and value-added benefits in the settlement of their monthly employer contributions. (JBN)
