Lenten Recollection At Adoration Convent

The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends with the death of Jesus Christ in Passion Week. The struggle between the Lord and Satan ends with the victory of the Savior in The Eastertide. In this period, we prepare for fasting and penance for the season of lent.

The Pink Sisters of the Adoration Convent of Divine Peace through the League of Adorers have scheduled a Lenten Recollection that will be held on April 15 (Black Saturday) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Adoration Convent Chapel along A. Fortuna sts. at the junction of Cebu and Mandaue cities. The spiritual speaker is Rev. Fr. Sigmund de Guzman, SJ of Sacred Heart Jesuit School.

The Lenten Recollection schedule is: Morning – 8 to 8:30 – Registration; 8:30 to 10 – Spiritual Talk; 10 to 10:30 – mid-morning break; 10:30 to 12 noon – Spiritual Talk ; 12 noon – Lunch Break. Afternoon – 1 to 2 – Holy Hour; 2 to 3:30 –Spiritual Talk, 3 to 3:30 – Mid-afternoon break; 3:30 to 4:30 – Spiritual Talk. Confessions will be on-going from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m..

The Pink or Adoration Sisters led by its Mother Superior, Sister Mary Amor and the League of Adorers invite and enjoin the faithful to the meaningful and important Lenten Recollections.
