Welcome to IntelStar

POPULAR TV host Jude Bacalso will star in the Palanca award-winning comedy Welcome to IntelStar on May 6 at the CAP Art Center.

The interactive comedy (audience participation a must!) has been reviewed as “heart-rending and rip-roaringly funny” and played to full houses during its Manila run at the CCP last January. Contemporary audiences are sure to relate to the comedy show, which is an amusing and light-hearted look at people who work in the financially rewarding but rather cyclic world of call centers. Welcome to IntelStar is written by Chris Martinez (Bikini Open, Bridal Shower), with costumes by top designer Sal Malto, and directed by Tuxqs Rutaquio (ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, Temptation Island..Live!).

In Welcome to IntelStar, Jude plays Ma’am Chelsea, a high-level trainer conducting an orientation seminar to the audience who “plays” the part of her new batch of call center trainees. Dressed impeccably in a smart power outfit and using the required “neutral American accent,” Miss Chelsea discusses “everything” you wanted to know about call centers but were perhaps afraid to ask. Welcome to IntelStar promises to be a funny and rare theatrical experience, not to be missed.

Welcome to IntelStar will be staged on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 8 p.m. at the CAP Art Center, Osmena Boulevard (Across McDonald’s Jones). Tickets to Welcome to IntelStar are priced at 200 pesos and are available at East,West Café at the Ayala Entertainment Center or at Ila Puti at the PIPC/Etelecare Building. For tickets and information, please call Little Boy Productions at 415-8338, (0917) 815-5794 or email kuyaig@yahoo.com.

Little Boy Productions continues the 2006 theater season on June 30 with the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Doubt starring Cherie Gil, to be followed on July 29 by the Repertory Philippines’ musical I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!.
