Pinoys can be good in business - Tan
Despite the financial difficulties that most Filipinos face, a founder of a school on entrepreneurship development said the inherent creativity of the people make them potential entrepreneurs.
But Vivienne Tan, daughter of taipan Lucio Tan, there is a need to awaken and develop the entrepreneurial skills of Filipinos.
Benefit
She said Cebu would soon benefit from the newly created Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), which aims to popularize and disseminate the prerequisites of entrepreneurial success, among others.
Tan, who sits in the board of the PCE, said there is no doubt that the programs of PCE will reach and benefit Cebuano entrepreneurs in due time.
Tan, who founded the Entrepreneurs School of Asia (ESA), is one of the “successful entrepreneurs” recruited by presidential consultant for entrepreneurship Jose Ma. Concepcion III to help the PCE.
PCE aims to enhance the curriculum and teaching skills in entrepreneurship, affiliate with the academe in the same field and create satellite centers of excellence in entrepreneurship nationwide. (JBN)
