Firm offers online system containing lab test results
Hi-precision Diagnostics launched in Cebu yesterday a “huge project” — making laboratory results available online to better serve patients.
“It means convenience for those who avail (themselves) of our services, especially those who live in far places. (Since the results are posted online), they don’t have to spend money and time coming to our laboratory. This is a standard practice in the US,” Euclid Po, general manager of Hi-Precision Diagnostics Cebu said in an interview last Thursday.
Hi-Precision Diagnostics launched its online results service that allows a patient to download his or her laboratory test results by logging on to www.hi-precision.com.ph.
First
“This is the first in the country. We started implementing this in our branch in Manila …(and now) Cebu (being) a part of our nationwide operation. This is a huge project because we had to upgrade all our systems,” he said.
Customers welcome the introduction of the online results service.
Internet-savvy Jinky Paqueo said the new service offers convenience to customers.
“Customers will be spared all the hassle of going back (to the Hi-Precision office), especially those who are from far areas like me, who is from Mandaue. I can save on fare,” she said.
Save time
Even 52-year-old Cris Les Pobres believed the service is beneficial.
“The service will be faster and I can save time,” Les Pobres said.
Hi-Precision, which also has branches in Quezon City and Las Piñas City, provides various laboratory services, such as blood chemistry, hematology, ultrasound, electrocardiogram (ECG), immunology and x-ray.
Getting online results is easy and secure.
After opening the Hi-Precision website, the customer logs in to the network by filling out the personal information field and typing in a seven-digit number assigned to him or her. Each customer is given an initial password by Hi-Precision.
Once logged in, a customer can download and print the laboratory test results.
The online results service also keeps a record of customers’ previous laboratory results, which is helpful to those who are monitoring their health, Po said.
Po said while the firm has yet to expand by adding more branches, it is “focusing on upgrading our machines and facilities to offer better services.”
Besides there are more than 20 diagnostic laboratories competing in Cebu City, he said. (ALC (W/ UP intern Maria Carla Bren Vianney L. Yap)
