Swaying to the touching drama of Duyan
Experience a heart-moving daily drama as the newest season of Now and Forever, GMA-7’s top-rating afternoon soap series, brings to light the story of two young girls and their mothers whose lives will be intertwined by fate.
With Director Mac Alejandre at the helm, Now and Forever’s 5th season presents a Mother’s Day story entitled Duyan, featuring Dawn Zulueta, Ariel Rivera, Glydel Mercado, Emilio Garcia, Starstruck Batch 3 Avengers Chuck Allie and Jana Roxas together with primetime child stars Ella Cruz and Ella Guevarra (of Majika and Encantadia, respectively). Completing the cast are Gabby Eigenmann and Alicia Alonzo.
Duyan tells the story of best friends Cindy (Ella Guevarra) and Ella (Ella Cruz) who treat each other like sisters despite their opposite status in life. Ella is the daughter of Adea (Dawn Zulueta), who works as a servant in the mansion owned by Cindy’s family, the richest family in the province.
Cindy’s mother, Loren (Glydel Mercado), is cruel and ruthless to Adea especially after she learned that her husband Mateo (Ariel Rivera) was the servant’s former boyfriend. Adea accepts all the abuses as long as they stay in the mansion, which has been her, Ella and her sister Rowena’s (Jana Roxas) refuge from her wicked husband, Raul (Emilio Garcia).
But what if destiny tests the friendship of these young girls by switching their fortune? Will they still stand by each other and keep their friendship? Will the people around them change and reconcile? Or will hatred consume their mothers and urge them to seek revenge?
