Oishi bags title; Viloria secures Masters crown
After 14 weeks of competition, Oishi copped the team championship, while Celis Viloria was the top individual performer in the Saturday Night Bowling League at SM City Cebu.
The champion team, composed of Joey Barbas, Sol Damole, Ging Francisco, Inday de Gracia, Alex Lancao and Ruby Aoyama, led the league from the fourth week all the way to the final to bring home the championship trophy and P12,000.
Masters event
Nestor Ponteres’ Where’s The Money team took the first runner-up spot and received a trophy and P8,000.
The Hahahayyy squad placed second runner-up and received a trophy and P5,000, while Sagapsap was third runner-up and received P2,000.
Viloria topped the 40-player Masters event and also had the highest individual three-game series with a score of 708.
The top 40 bowlers after the team event played eight games each in the Masters final. Viloria, playing with a zero handicap, tallied 1,641 pinfalls to take home the championship trophy and P4,000.
Ruby Aoyama placed second and received a trophy and P2,500, while Sol Damole was third and brought home a trophy and P1,500.
The other special prize went to John Gasataya, who had the highest single game with 298, which earned him P1,000.
Saturday Night Bowling League is organized by Krokko bowlers of SM City Cebu headed by Joey Barbas, Alex Damole and Celis Viloria. The third conference will start on June 17.
