Pipeline, Rcaf log wins in PPSA

Pipeline Resto Bar tripped Cokaliong Shipping Lines, 110-74, Monday night in the elimination round of the 30-Above division of the Punta Princesa Sports Association-Guardo Summer Cup at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym.

Pipeline, which is co-sponsored by AMBL Enterprise of Allan Lim, had a slim lead in the early going but pulled away in the succeeding period, posting a commanding 84-59 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

Playmaker Lito Navarro dropped three triples in a 10-point explosion in the opening period, while dishing out several assists that allowed teammates Jimbo Noel, Robert Abasolo and Chito Hernadez to score in double figures.

Rout

Emy Daclan also erupted with a game-high 22 points sparked by five triples.

Former CIT Wildcat Andy Fuentes and Edgar Solon paced Cokaliong with 15 points apiece.

Meanwhile, Rcaf routed the winless Litvergs, 100-76, with Dandre Baclay and Fred Del Campo exploding for 19 and 17 points, respectively. Romeo Faunillan scored 10 points for Rcaf all in fastbreak plays.

Jun Garzo and Alvin Paez scored 16 points apiece to lead Litvergs, while Jun Ando added 10.

In the Inter-Village category, Chikakoy blasted SJB, 73-55. Makoy Villagonzalo and Wendel Labajo powered Chikakoy with 29 and 13 points, respectively.

Brunson Abatayo and EJ Estrada paced SJB with 20 and 17 markers, respectively.
