Cebu Franchise Conference and Expo set on June 21-23

The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) in collaboration with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has scheduled the Cebu Franchise Conference and Expo on June 21-23 as part of the Cebu Business Month (CBM) celebration at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

“The two-day franchising conference and expo will provide great opportunities to develop entrepreneurial minds among the people in Cebu and its neighboring regions,” said Jay Aldeguer, president of the Cebu-based Islands Souvenirs and the Cebu chapters of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and Philippine Retailers Association.

The franchise conference and expo will be held in conjunction with CBM’s InTourPreneur 2006.

On June 22, the conference will tackle topics such as “Selecting the Right Business for You (A panel of Experts ),” “Strategies to Build your Brand,” “Financing Strategies for SMEs,” and “Lessons Learned from Successful Franchise Systems.” Topics on “How to Buy a Franchise (A-Z of Franchising),” and “How to Franchise your Business” will be discussed on Day 2 (June 23). This grand franchising activity shall also include Business Matching Sessions and product presentations from successful franchises.

PFA chairman emeritus, Samie Lim, will lead the franchise gurus who will share their knowledge and expertise.

Other speakers include Bing Limjoco, PFA chairman and Global Franchising Marketing, Inc. president; Robert Trota, Max’s Restaurant and PFA president; Virgilio Espeleta, Julie’s Franchise Corp. president and chief operating officer; Manuel Siggaoat, PFA vice president-finance and Manels Leathergoods, Inc. chairman; Les Reyes, Reyes Haircutters president; Lin Deres, Goldilocks Bakeshop franchise relations manager; and Steve Benitez, Bo’s Coffee Club president and chief executive officer.
