PLDT launches new card for cell phone, landline
In Line with its thrust to continually provide better services to its subscribers, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) and its wireless arm have converged its networks to create a product that provides all-in-one services.
PLDT launched over the weekend the Pwede! card, a prepaid card that can be reloaded to allow PLDT and Smart Communications subscribers to continue enjoying various services, such as PLDT landline, SMARTalk payphones and Smart and Talk ‘N Text cell phones.
“Whether you are in Cebu or anywhere else in the country, you can use it to call loved ones locally and abroad using a PLDT landline or payphone, or cellular phones. Pwede! card also lets you surf the Internet hassle-free with PLDT Vibe’s reliable dial-up services,” said PLDT assistant vice president for card services retail marketing Cristina Balingit.
“Unlike before, there is now no need to buy separate cards for each service because you can do all these and more with one powerful solution, the multipurpose Pwede! card,” she added.
Balingit told a press conference over the weekend that this new product is making use of Smart’s network.
The Pwede! card sells for P30 and is available at all PLDT business offices, Smart wireless centers and in over 700,000 authorized Smartload centers nationwide.
The card comes with a preload value of P12 consumable within 24 hours. (JBN)
