Villanueva, Cantillas top View
Felix Villanueva and Pete Cantillas scored 80 points in the second day to bag the Division A top prize of The View Invitational golf tournament at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.
Villanueva and Cantillas, who scored 73 in the first day of the 36-hole tournament, finished with 153 points, just a point ahead of runners-up Poch Lamug and Lorenzo Teng, who scored 75 points in the second day to finish with 152.
Early leaders Rolando Alberto and Noel Abad ended up at third after faltering in the second day. The pair, the first to score 80 points in a round in the tournament, managed only 71 points in the second day, with Abad scoring 37, as they finished with 150 points.
In Division B, Nonoy Alba and Penelle Piad came up with the best round in all divisions to take the top prize.
Alba and Piad, who managed only 73 points in the first day, tallied 83 points in the second to finish with 155. Alba scored 42, while his partner had 41 for their top finish.
Henry Chu and Edu Larrazabal finished second with 153, while Victor Gocela and Rainier Mendoza ended up third with 148.
In Division C, Bobby Baria and Jovey Mendoza closed out with a round of 82 to take the top prize with a two-round 155 points.
Richard Lim and Edward Uy finished second with 148, while Antonio Sikimhua and Peter Yang took the third spot with 143. (ML)
