Cebu City, SWU top web awards

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the winners of the sixth Cebu Web Awards.

For the best website award, www.skygo-ph.com by Glenn Lomon bagged the first prize in the corporate and commercial category.

The Cebu City Gov-ernment’s website (www.-cebucity.gov.ph) won first place in the local government category.

Other best website winners were: Southwestern University (www.swu.edu.ph) by Noel Aniban for schools, www.my8thday.com by Jerald Osua in the open category. All winners received P150,000 in cash each.

Winner of the best multi-media award was Apolinario Lopez, who got a cash prize of P150,000, while Francis Monero was picked for best animation and given P100,000 cash.

Winners of the Web Olympics were, for the high school category: Josephus Gallo of STEC, first place; Meyricus Montejo of Bangkal National High School, second place; and Glint Domenick Apa of Bangkal National High School, third place.

In the college level: Prince Ryan Gilig of the University of Cebu, first place; Ritchie Linao of Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT), second; and third, Stephanie Grace Regner, also of CIT.

In the open category, the winners were: Fulbert Hoy, first; Noel Aniban, second; and third, Jecylito Calambro. (PR)
