USJ-R installs new president
University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) officially installs Rev. Fr. Anthony Morillo, OAR, today as the new president of the USJ-R during a eucharistic celebration and investiture rites at 9 a.m. in the Mt. Carmel Parish-Recoletos.
Born on Sept. 15, 1970 in Calubian, Leyte to parents late Atty. Teofilo Morillo and Juanita Arante, both from Almeria, Bilican, Fr. Morillo is a holder of A.B. Philosophy degree from Casiciaco Recoletos Seminar, Baguio City; Theology, Recoletos Formation Center, Quezon City; M.A. in Theology, San Sebastian College, Manila and M.A. in Educational Administration, USJ-R.
In 1997-2007, Fr. Morillo was in missionary work in Taliao, Kahsiong, Taiwan, Republic of China; Linyuan, Santimen, Pingtung, Taiwan where he also served as parish priest and in-charge of Filipino communities.
His school experiences included being the vice president for Student Welfare and head of Student Affairs in San Sebastian College (2002-2003).
In USJ-R (2003-2006), he was vice president for Student Welfare, scholarship director, moderator of Sports, Reads , AD-DRAC, Forward, NSTP and CWTS.
