Pa, son tagged in teen’s rape
A 17-YEAR-OLD Iranian national was arrested while his father is now the subject of a police manhunt, after a woman accused them of sexually abusing her last Sunday.
John (real name withheld for being a minor) was arrested at 3 p.m. last Monday inside a manpower agency on F. Llamas St., Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
John’s father Peter reportedly managed to slip out before the elements of the Punta Princesa Police Station arrived at the agency.
The son, who is temporarily detained at the Cebu City Police Office, declined to be interviewed by reporters yesterday.
Nene, 22, who is from Barangay Palanas, Alcantara Southern Cebu narrated to the investigators of the Punta Princesa Police Station and the Family Juvenile Gender Sensitivity Section (FJGSS) that she was hired as a helper to both Iranians last July 15, through the manpower agency.
The father and son are temporarily staying in a condominium in Barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City.
At 6:30 p.m. the following day, she was washing the dishes when she heard John and Peter laughing. She just ignored them, she said.
Peter, however, suddenly grabbed and pushed her head to the window and told her, “Pya-it must die (Squealers must die)!”
Fled
Peter then allegedly forced her to lie down in bed and began sexually abusing her in front of John, who also reportedly abused her.
Peter allegedly abused her again at 7 a.m. on July 17.
In the afternoon of the same day, Peter and John brought Nene back to the agency to have her replaced.
Nene took this opportunity to confide her ordeal to the agency’s manager, who immediately called up the police for assistance.
Peter, who allegedly sensed that he was in trouble, hurriedly left the agency, leaving his son behind.
When a team of policemen led by SPO4 Joselito Palang arrived in the area, only John was arrested. Peter had already left the area.
The police also proceeded to the condominium but Peter was no longer there.
The FJGSS is now waiting for the result of the laboratory examination on Nene, which will be used as part of the evidence in filing rape charges against the father and son. (JST)
