THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Central Visayas has issued a wage order increasing by P18 the minimum daily wage in Metro Cebu.
Did I hear the employers rejoicing?

Oil companies are set to increase gasoline prices by P8 per liter.
Some businessmen thought it would have been prudent for the wage board not to join the fray.

Mactan island will be waterless if Mactan Rock Industries cuts off water supply to the Metropolitan Cebu Water District for failure to pay water bills.
Easy, Mactan Rock president Antonio Tompar says his company will just cease operations.
Watch how the tables are turned.

Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, in her State of the Province Address, says the Provincial Government has P2 billion in the bank. No debts.
Pero wa gihapon maaspalto ang karsada sa Cabadiangan, Liloan.
***
Militant groups gave Governor Garcia a “kalabasa award” for her declaration of an all-out all-out war against communist insurgency.
She, in turn, gave them ripe bananas in line with her campaign, “Bisag saging basta loving.”
Now, who’s going bananas?
