Kalit’s Boy P wins RCM bike race at Recla

Boy Pagnanawon made a mad dash to the finish line to bag yesterday’s Road Cyclist of the Month Criterium race at the North Reclamation Area.

Team Kalit’s Pagnanawon had paralleled the cool Saturday morning weather as he kept his cool and a steady pace before charging in the final stretch to run away with the win.

Decent lead

Xerox Lauron of Velonauts maintained a decent lead in the race until Pagnanawon came out from behind to steal the lead.

Lapu-Lapu RUT’s Ciano Dignos was at second, while Haylin Bardaje was at third. Richard Patalinghug and Lauron, settled for fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Lapu-Lapu RUT solidified its lead in the team ranking as it now has 121 points, after two of its racers finished in the top five. Velonauts has 72, while Sparkleen has 43. Completing the top five are J Marketing and Kalit.

On top

In the monthly rankings for individual racers, Bardaje perches at the top with 59 points, while Orlan Toring is at second with 42, while Lauron is at third with 41. The winners in culminating Road Cyclist of the Year race will get a Shimano 105 Drivetrain and a trip to Boracay.

The tournament is sponsored by Glenn Rasco, Al Figer and the South Jersey Cycling Team, Spark Kleen Laundry Powder, Frank Gatdula and Luzvismin Cycling Team, Independent Fabrication and pinoybikes.com. (MCB)
