Purpose driven congress set

Rick Warren, author of the Purpose Driven Life, will be in Manila on July 25 to launch the P.E.A.C.E Plan, a global movement that seeks to mobilize one billion Christians to combat the five “Global Goliaths.”

Warren refers to spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic disease and illiteracy/poor education.

Warren’s wife Kay and a team from Saddleback Church will conduct a series of talks to be attended by an estimated 20,000 leaders from the religious, business, government and nongovernment sectors.

In Cebu

Interested participants in Cebu and the Visayas no longer have to travel to Manila to attend the event.

There will be a live satellite feed on July 25 at the Mediterranean Room of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The gathering will be at the PhilSports Arena (Ultra) dubbed as the National Purpose Driven Congress.

Unite

Organized by the Purpose Driven Ministry-Southeast Asia, Warren’s visit to the Philippines is aimed at bringing people of different political and religious situations together to unite for a common cause—to help the less fortunate.

Warren will also encourage everyone to be part in transforming the society through biblical principles.

In Cebu, the registration fee for the event is P200, inclusive of lunch.

For tickets, one may call Dahlian at 231-2715 and 232-0031.
