Talk back: Clarifying my point By Sam Costanilla Consultant on Media Affairs, Province of Cebu
This is just to clarify my point regarding the concern of the Voices of Women for Human Rights (Vow4HR). To me, the group is confused as it continues to see the tangible performance of Gov. Gwen Garcia as far as the delivery of basic services to the people is concerned.
Of course, statistics are important because they help us see how far the provincial leadership has gone in alleviating the plight of the people.
Classrooms? While construction of classrooms and the giving of equipment are the concerns of the Department of Education, Governor Garcia has come to the aid of the department in solving the problem on classroom shortage.
And if Vow4HR ladies do not consider Governor Garcia’s visibility and honest delivery of basic services, then something must be wrong with their vision.
Clearly, the group is confused. Or maybe “nabag-ohan sa talagsaong kaabtik” of Cebu’s first woman governor in genuinely serving the Cebuanos.
