Neri, Deen top Mepzcem golf

Jovi Neri, representing Sun.Star Publishing, and Eric Deen of Cebu Midlab ruled the 3rd Mepzcem Fellowship Golf Tournament at the Cebu Golf and Country Club yesterday.

Neri managed to maintain a net 69 in the under 36 format to claim the over-all lowest net while Deen won lowest gross after finishing 2 under par 70 .

Ramon "Boboy" Durano IV of Danao City, last year's over-all lowest net, ruled Division A.

Euchi Kitamura of Cebu Electronics meanwhile landed second after making 2 birdies at par 7.
Bogey

Meanwhile, Gerard Walker of Marriot Hotel birdied two holes at par 3 to clinch the Division B title as Mitsumi’s Yosho Yamada bogeyed 8 at par-4 to settle second.

Joseph Macasusi of GlobeQuest bogeyed 10 to win the Division C title while Jun Tacocong of U-Freight bogeyed 7 to earn the second place.

Special prizes

Rounding off the winners for the special prizes are Edwin Robin (nearest pin hole No. 5), Harumasa Hoshino (longest drive at hole No. 8), Ana Lee Javellana (longest putt at hole No. 9), Binky Cruz (most number of bogeys with 12), Deen (most number of pars with 14) and Neri (most number of birdies with 4).

Mepzcem president Robert Oliver of TMX, Mepzcem VP-internal Paul Fluty of Lexmark, Gen. Silverio Alarcio of PNP Regional Office 7, Renato Bontol of Pentay and Prisco Ponce of Fair Child Semiconductors graced the ceremonial tee-off.
