HP offers storage services to SMEs
TECHNOLOGY is not just for large corporations, even small and medium businesses need it to ensure success.
Hewlett-Packard (HP) recognizes this, which is why it is also launching its latest storage solutions to the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector in Cebu in September.
“We see a big potential for Cebu especially for small and medium enterprise,” said Eula Cruz, HP product manager for network storage and solutions.
HP launched last week at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel last week a portfolio of solution services for its resellers.
The products are designed to improve data backup and recovery and daily storage management.
Cost
“It’s putting out inactive data and putting it in a lower cost storage consequently opening up a large space in your company’s higher cost storage,” said Bart Davidoff, HP business development manager for information lifecycle management in Southeast Asia.
He said the product will help companies lessen the risks of corrupting their files, at the same time allow them to maximize profits.
Bernard Chitty, HP director for storage solutions, said the storage systems are no ordinary products, they are “solutions.”
Used by majority of multinational companies in the United States, HP’s storage solution services are still gaining its momentum in the Philippines, company officials said.
HP’s line of storage solution services includes backup and recovery solution, data replication solution, disaster tolerant management, NAS lifecycle services, and SAN solution service. (MMM)
