Minors shoot robbery victim
TWO minors not younger than 15 years old allegedly shot a man who ignored them when they announced their intention to rob him.
Andre Alima Dizon, 27, was walking along N. Bacalso Ave. in Barangay Pahina Central Saturday night when two minors followed him.
Dizon, a nursing graduate who lives in Mountain View, Barangay Quiot, was on his way to the One Citilink Terminal when robbed.
A report over radio dyAB said that when the two announced the robbery, he reportedly ignored them, thinking they were too young to pull it off.
The next thing he knew, one of them fired a shot, hitting him in the left forearm and chest.
Bystanders took him to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) nearby. Witnesses claimed the two were not younger than 15.
Barangay tanods scoured the area looking for those who matched their description but failed to locate them.
Dizon is reportedly in critical condition.
At midnight, a man identified only as Jason was also shot in the left portion of his back.
Jason was drinking with security guard Reggie Evangelista when they tangled with a group of men.
Earlier, the two were in a store at the corner of Legaspi and Manalili Sts. when they noticed five men staring at them.
Evangelista asked if something was wrong, but one merely replied, “sige lang, bay. Balik.” (Forget about it. We will be back.)
Jason and Evangelista then proceeded to another store in Osmeña Blvd. where they joined with Victor Murillo, 29, a vendor. They continued drinking until they noticed the same group arrive.
The police said a rumble ensued until one of the men pulled out a firearm and shot Jason.
Another one allegedly fired a shot in the air.
Evangelista and Murillo took Jason to the CCMC. (MEA)
