Yac brothers bag quarterfinal seat in ML Kwarta Padala Inter Club
The Pardo Tennis Club caught up with the leaders after sending brothers Eldon and Eliezer Yac to the quarterfinal round following their Class B win over J. Clarito and Jun-jun Veloso of Lapu-Lapu Tennis Club, 8-3, in the 1st ML Kwarta Padala Cup Inter-Club Tennis Tournament last Sunday.
After the pair’s win, Ely, the duo’s father, teamed up with Roy Abellanosa to beat Pete Baguio and Jojo Alasas of Villa Aurrora TC, 8-6, in Class C, at the Baseline Recreation Center Tennis Courts.
The younger Yacs proved too classy as they engaged Clarito and Veloso in a heated exchange of serves and volley in the first two games before their fresher legs and versatility prevailed.
On the other hand, the Integrated Provincial Health Office Tennis Club also sent one more pair to the next round following Lito Langkino and Tata Caballero’s victory over Arnold Romaguerra and Delio Paloma of La Paloma TC, 8-4.
