Second Vice Gov. bowlfest kicks off Aug. 12 at SM

Bowlers will only have until Monday to register for the second Vice Governor Greg Sanchez Bowling Tournament set to start on Aug. 12 at the SM Bowling Center.

Last year, in its inaugural staging, the tournament attracted 26 teams, and this time around, organizers are expecting more entries.

Four members

“We hope to get more confirmations by the end of this week,” Cesar Adora of SM Bowling Center said.

The tournament, which is organized by the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association, will have a registration fee of P3,500 for every team. Each team must have four members.

Interested participants may contact Adora, Cetba president Ben Miranda, or Docdoc Gothong at 232-0295 or 233-2677.

Those who want to join can also visit the Bowling Center at SM City Cebu.

The contest will have the Men’s and Women’s divisions. The top bowlers of each division will also advance to the Masters class.

Aside from the top three winners in the team competition and the winners of the Masters event, the organizers will hand out cash and trophies for the special awards.

The special awards include high game scratch series, high individual scratch, high team series and high team individual.

The tournament will run for five days in two weekends, Aug. 12-13 and 19-20.

The Masters event will be held on Aug. 21. (MCB)
