5:30 p.m.—Cebu Institute of Technology vs. University of San Carlos (College)

THE University of San Carlos Warriors, winless in two outings, will try to have a taste of victory against the Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats in today's 2006 Cesafi Seniors Basketball Tournament at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Warriors, toting a 0-2 win-loss slate, are nursing their wounds after an 82-85 loss to the University of Southern Philippines Panthers last Saturday night.

With four more games remaining for his team, Warriors head coach Jay Ramirez can only hope that his wards would sweep all the remaining games in the single round-robin format to clinch one of the top four semifinal berths.

Complicated

A loss for the Warriors, last year's semifinalist, will complicate their chances, as they have playdates with two title contenders—the University of San Jose Recoletos Jaguars and the University of Cebu Webmasters.

However, the Wildcats, who lost to the University of Visayas Green Lancers last week, will also gun for a win in their second outing this season.

The Wildcats will be banking on Marvin Abapo, Randolph Abatayo, Sherwin Abobo and Ramel Guevara in the offense. The Warriors will be matching the Wildcats with the bull-strong Enrico John Llanto, Niño Ramirez, Ryan Carlo Padayao and Vernini Tangarorang.

The game between the Wildcats and the Warriors starts at 5 p.m. Don Bosco College and the University of Southern Philippines tussle in today's game opener at 3 p.m.
