San Miguel Corp. completes coaches’ revamp in PBA

MANILA – San Miguel Corp.’s change of head coaches for its four PBA teams is now final.

Chot Reyes goes to San Miguel Beer, Jong Uichico moves to the Ginebra Gin Kings, Benky Favis takes charge of Coca-Cola, while Ryan Gregorio will remain with the newly crowned All-Filipino Champion Purefoods.

The SMC management officially announced the changes yesterday for the 2006-07 season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

SMC assistant vice-president Robert Non said Reyes, the current RP-SMC National Team head coach who is in Qatar, was already informed of his new position, as well as Favis, Uichico and Gregorio.

“I spoke to Chot on the phone night (Wednesday night RP time) and I told him of the appointment,” said Non. “He will give his official statement when he returns next week.” (FCC)
