Guidicelli goes for win in Shell karting
Rivalries and high speed action returns as the 2006 Shell Superkarting Series resumes with its sixth leg this weekend, August 12-13 at the Boomland Kart Track in Pasay City.
It will be another great showdown between Matteo Guidicelli of Alessandra Racing and Marlon Stockinger of Birel-SFIC in the combined Formula 125 and Rotax Max Seniors class as they’ll try to boost their bids for the Karter of the Year award.
Guidicelli, despite ending only fourth in the Boomland leg, still leads the series with 263 points and another win will boost his chances of regaining the crown he captured two years back.
7 points behind
But Stockinger now moved just seven points behind with 256 points after clinching his third straight victory. A fourth triumph will fortify his bid for his very first Karter of the Year award.
Behind them are two other Birel drivers Daniel Cleak and Indy Villalon who amassed 190 and 158 points respectively while Jean Stefano Marcelo is fifth with 132. (PR)
