Atan Guardo win streak on
Atan Guardo continued its winning streak after dumping Cebfa in a highly physical match, 93-73, in the ongoing elimination round of the K Gallery basketball tournament Wednesday night at the Visayan Glass Gym in Barangay Guadalupe, this city.
Michael Cinco and Oning Villarosa, who unleashed 16 and 15 markers respectively, ignited the sparkplug for Atan Guardo after leading an 11-3 run in the first quarter to establish a seven point lead, 26-19.
Ian Kintanar and Totong Villanueva, who combined for 22 markers, continued Atan Guardo's momentum in the second quarter with their fast break conversions, which further bury Cebfa at 35-24.
In the other games, San Remigio Beach Club defeated USC Nursing 89-84 with Aldrin Fernandez and Paco Delantar unloading 18 and 15 markers. Lawrence Saballa and Voltaire Ranullo paced for the losing squad with 32 and 23 points.
Meanwhile, Arthkyob triumphed over Moondogs, 94-88, while USC Commerce squeaked past Villa Norma, 84-83.
