Beauty, wellness sector sets show
The potential of Cebu as a spa and wellness destination in the country led the beauty, health and wellness (BH&W) industry players to once again converge and showcase their products and services.
This year’s BH&W show “hopes to surpass last year’s performance and promises to be the biggest event in the sector, not just in Cebu but for Visayas and Mindanao,” said Francis Monera, president of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
“The show will proclaim Cebu as the emerging nirvana of wellness,” Monera said during the press conference and launching held at the Cebu Parklane Hotel last Wednesday.
This year’s event is the second organized by the CCCI under a committee headed by vice president for business development Edward Gaisano and conducted in cooperation with the newly organized Spa and Wellness Association of Cebu (SWAC), Department of Trade and Industry and the private sector.
Gaisano is optimistic the affair will promote Cebu as a destination for BH&W and enhance the value of living in the province.
SWAC president Johnie Lim said they are targeting over 60 to 100 exhibitors and sponsors this year.
The BH&W show last year attracted thousands of viewers and the participation of exhibitors and sponsors from Manila and the Visayas.
The three-day show will be held at the SM Cebu Trade Hall starting Sept. 22. (MMM)
