Cause organizes Purpose Walk ‘06

Purpose Walk ’06 is a gathering of people from different denominations to impact the city by making a difference. 

This walk signifies the unity between organizations and churches with different doctrines and teachings but have one common factor, Jesus.

The “fun walk” is the pilot project of Cause or the Christian Alliance United for Special Events. 

Cause is a non-stock and non-profit organization and its website is www.
causecebu.com. 

Route

Open to everybody who wants to walk or run, Purpose Walk ’06 will be held on Sept. 2 at 6 a.m. Participants need to be at the venue by 5 a.m. 

The “fun walk” will start at Asiatown IT Park (across Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino) and participants will turn right to Salinas Drive, down to Gorordo Ave. and will take a left turn at the Arch. Reyes Ave. and back to Asiatown IT Park.

Culminating activities include live performances by Zeck 46, Johnny and Vince, Black Forrest Brass Band, Natasha, Adoration Band and MTV Awardee Still, with awarding cere-monies and fellowship.

Registration fee is P150, which includes a Purpose Walk T-Shirt, bottled water, race number and breakfast.

Registration outlets are OMF Literature on F. Ramos St., PCBS Bookstore, CLC Bookstore, House of Praise (SM City Cebu branch) or local churches. 

The deadline for registration is on Aug. 28, Monday.

On Sept. 1, there will be a concert video show for the youth, a unity prayer for the youth and fireworks display at the Asiatown IT Park at 6 p.m.

The beneficiaries for Purpose Walk ’06 are the Philippine Councilors League- Cebu Chapter, students of Immanuel Bible College and Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines.
