Exist celebrates 5th anniversary with Red Herring 100 Award
Exist Software Engineering celebrates its 5th anniversary of delivering Filipino technical excellence to the global market and its recent inclusion into the Top 100 Companies in Asia given by the prestigious Red Herring Inc. with a celebration at the Crowne Plaza Galleria tomorrow.
In five short years, Exist has grown to become a global leader for software “smart sourcing”, providing world-class technical talent to Global IT companies, unique expertise in open source adoption and a highly efficient infrastructure for enabling global software called e-DEN (Exist Development and Engineering Network).
These were the same factors that made the company be among the “best and the brightest stars” in this year’s Red Herring Awards for Asia.
“In an exceptionally vibrant climate for start-ups, Red Herring believes that Exist is a rising star,” said Allen Yang, business development manager of Red Herring Inc.
Out of more than 600 submissions from companies in Asia, Exist Software Engineering was among those who went through a long and rigorous process evaluating business models, analyzing profitability forecasts, assessing management teams and examining technology.
Exist was part of the initial shortlist of 200 companies and then just this week was adjudged as the only Filipino company among the Top 100. Past winners of Red Herring include Mozilla, Salesforce.com and You Tube.
Exist was founded by Winston Damarillo, an entrepreneur with a track record of building successful technology start-ups, including being the chief executive officer at Gluecode Software, recently bought by IBM, and currently chief executive officer at Simula Labs.
Together with Junnie Arreza, Willex Perez and Vincent Ortega, Exist grew from a small start-up of six to now having 102 employees serving global companies in the United States and Europe.
