Speak out: Not manipulating kids By Sam Costanilla Consultant on Media Affairs, Province of Cebu
This is in reaction to the letter written by a certain Peter Hainsworth of Lapu-Lapu City claiming that Gov. Gwen Garcia is manipulating children for political gain.
You're wrong, sir. The governor does not have to manipulate children in order to benefit and gain politically.
Her performance since day one as Cebu's first woman governor says it all---and manipulating children has never been and never will be part of her governance.
Peter, if you're referring to Governor Garcia's appeal for all well-meaning Cebuanos, including children, to sign the anti-Sugbuak petition, then I ask, what's wrong with such appeal?
After all, the evil move to partition Cebu just to satisfy some politicos' hunger for power affects our FUTURE, particularly that of the children and the young of Cebu.
Are you saying, therefore, that Governor Garcia's concern for the future of the children and the young is bad and an act of manipulating them?
As a foreigner, who are you to assail the governor's noble intentions and concern for Cebu's children?
