The 21k course will traverse the major thoroughfares of the city along with the 3k and 5k races.
Private First Class Rogelio Reli of the Philippine Army is again expected to defend his crown successfully, especially after winning the Men’s Open title of the 1st University Run-Run for Sight 10k race last week.
However, Women’s division defending champion, Christy Sevilleno, is expected to meet stiff competition based last week’s competition.
During the 1st University Run-Run for Sight 10k race, Sevilleno only managed to snare third.
On the other hand, expected to give Reli a run for his money are USP’s Mendel Lopez, Riez Enriquez, Lorenzo Enriquez and University of San Jose-Recoletos’ Gilbert Luterte, who made up the top five runners last week.
The Men’s and Women’s division champions in the Cebu leg will pocket P10,000 each, aside from the chance of earning a place for the National Finals in Manila, which dangles a total cash prize of P5.2 million.
