Indian-inspired resto to open in lagoon area
After a year of operations of its Cuban-inspired restaurant-bar in Cebu, the LJC restaurant group is now planning to expand its operations by putting up another foreign-inspired restaurant.
Charles Lim, LJC consultant, said, in an interview, that LJC will use the terrace part of Café Havanah, which is located at the Ayala Center Cebu (ACC) lagoon area, into an Indian-inspired restaurant.
“The new restaurant will use the tan door. It’s the Indian way of cooking. This will be a new outlet but still connected with Havanah,” he said.
Casual
Lim said the new restaurant is casual and will have a sitting capacity of about 100.
“The company is just awaiting the go signal of the ACC management,” he said.
The LJC group owns and operates Café Havanah and Café Adriatico, which is located at the Crossroads in Banilad.
Earlier, LJC restaurant group executive vice president and general manager Lorna Cruz-Ambas said the company would soon bring to Cebu its brand for the C market.
“Cebu is a different market. We’re still trying to get a feel here. Once we get the right formula, we will bring our brand for the C market here,” she said. (JBN)
