Pedro Penduko vs. The Kapre and the manananggal
He’s received the power of the mutya ng saging and has now entered Floreshka to save his father. But as Pedro Penduko sets off on his mission, his introduction to the monsters begins as he faces off with two of Philippine mythology scariest creatures–the kapre and the manananggal.
Bernard Palanca and Angelika dela Cruz guest star on the third episode of ABS-CBN’s Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko, airing today right after Star Magic Presents. And yes, Pedro Penduko does indeed face off with the kapre (Bernard Palanca, above left) as he tries to track down and rescue Juan Penduko. But it looks like it’s going to be Pedro himself who will be in need of rescuing after he comes face to face with the kapre who guards the pathway. The kapre, being a scary, hairy giant that smells of tobacco smoke, is instantly intimidating.
But will Pedro let the kapre scare him away from his goal of finding his dad?
And even if he does get away from the kapre¸does Pedro have a prayer of escaping Aurora (Angelika dela Cruz, left)) a beautiful woman who is, in fact, a manananggal?
Matt Evans stars as Pedro Penduko, along with regular cast members Melissa Ricks, Kitkat, Gloria Romero, Bembol Roco, TJ Trinidad, Deejay Durano, and Olyn Meimban, and guest stars Jiro Manio Neri Naig, Janus del Prado and KC Aboloc.
