Monday, October 09, 2006 Retail store chain eyes 8th branch in western Cebu
AFTER launching its seventh outlet in downtown Cebu City, Prince Warehouse Club Inc. (PWCI) is eyeing its eighth branch.
“We are looking at feasible areas in the western part of the province,” PWCI president Robert Go said in an interview at the opening of Prince Warehouse Club and Tiangge! Tiangge! At MC City Square.
Go did not give more details on the plan but said the next Prince Warehouse Club branch will also cater to consumers with tight budgets.
Prices
He said prices of merchandise at all Prince Warehouse outlets and the proposed branch will remain to be “attractive” all throughout the year.
“When customers come here, they will be surprised to see that they can buy a VCD player at only P799. It’s like prices of items are on sale everyday,” he said.
He said all Prince Warehouse Club outlets are ideal for those with tight budgets because “a little of their money can go a long way.”
“(Even) when they come here with just a little amount of money, they will be carrying many grocery bags on their way home,” Go said.
Prince Warehouse Club’s seventh outlet is housed at the former Metropolitan Cebu Water District building along M.C. Briones corner P. Burgos Streets.
In an earlier interview, Go said he finds the place strategic because it is situated right across Cebu City Hall, is near the entrance to the South Road Properties and Magellan’s Cross.
“The whole area forms the MC City Square which hopes to bring back the glory of old Cebu with the look of the old 1900s,” Go said.
Go also said Tiangge! Tiangge! caters to customers “who are fond of haggling.”
He said apart from offering bargained prices, toilet facilities and ample parking space, MC City Square is also convenient to commuters as 32 jeepney routes pass by the area.
Go is optimistic building renewal works in the area will make the retail outlets a destination for shopping and tourism. (MMM)
