Mother’s lover stabs brothers
AFTER sharing a meal Friday night, two brothers were stabbed by their mother’s live-in partner in Barangay Tapon, Dumanjug.
Ritchel Deniega, 30 and his brother Beverlito, 32, were in the house of their mother for dinner.
Ritchel lives in Alcantara, Cebu while Beverlito goes home to Barangay Calabo-an, Dumanjug. Their mother lives with her live-in partner Tirso Cardines, a widower.
After eating, they asked their mother if they could now go home. But Cardines reportedly blocked them on their way out. With a hunting knife, Cardines stabbed Beverlito in the left arm.
Despite the wound, Beverlito jumped out the window. Ritchel was cornered inside the house and suffered several wounds.
Knife
Cardines fled, while Ritchel and Beverlito were rushed to a hospital. The knife was recovered from the house.
Police said the brothers already had a standing grudge with Cardines.
In Barangay Sta. Cruz, San Fernando Friday, a man was stabbed during a benefit dance while another stabbing incident, this time in Danao City, ended an argument between roommates.
Bienvenido Burlasa, 48, was at the benefit dance at 11:40 when Samuel Muaña Nudalo, 39, stabbed him in his left side.
He was declared dead on arrival at the Doctor Edgardo Manigo District Hospital. Police arrested Nudalo.
Earlier at 8:30 p.m. in Barangay Looc, Danao City, Michael Tagalog Cilocilo, 25, was stabbed in the left breast and back by roommate Bobby Soriano in the middle of an argument.
Cilocilo was taken to the Danao City District Hospital and was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City.
