Batangas knife means trouble for suspected jeepney robber
MANDAUE City policemen arrested a “noted robber” at the Subangdaku flyover last week.
Subangdaku police station personnel rushed to the flyover after receiving information that Joemelie Roble was there.
The flyover is reportedly where he usually preys on victims by pointing a knife at them and robbing them of their cellular phones.
In his arrest Saturday night, Roble yielded a fan knife. He will be charged for concealing a deadly weapon.
Threat
He might face another criminal complaint once an Oct. 6-robbery victim surfaces and identifies him.
Roble, 25, was last linked to the robbery in Sitio Lower Malibu, where he allegedly threatened Adrian Wagas with a knife at a fiesta celebration.
Wagas identified Roble, whom the police said was in and out of the Mandaue City Jail for various cases, as the one who took his cellular phone.
Arrest
The police stalked Roble in his home after victimizing Wagas, but he was always out. He was spotted at the Subangdaku flyover.
SPO4 Raul Noynay said Wagas was already informed of Roble’s arrest. (AAG)
