Christmas bazaar to cater to those who shop at night

A NEW kind of bazaar is coming to Cebu this Christmas.

Going against the norm of a tiangge simply being a “flea market,” the event will set the tone of the season with a Christmas interior, varied entertainment and promotional activities.

Dubbed the “Christmas Nights Bazaar,” the event will be held at the Banilad Town Centre (BTC) parking lot extension on Dec. 1 to 30.

It will be open starting in the afternoon until 12 midnight.

Market

“The bazaar is tailored after the highly popular night markets in Manila,” said Jan Vincent Soontit, productions manager for Crinnovent Corp., the production company for this event.

Destination

“Banilad Town Centre is an ideal venue, since BTC is the prime destination for the night life here in Cebu,” he added.

To give shoppers a feel of the season, the parking lot will be dressed up with a Christmas theme, complete with a Christmas tree, lights, decors and music.

Various forms of entertainment and promotional activities will also be held throughout the month-long bazaar.

Exhibits

The exhibitors bringing native products, exports, imports and local products will be from different areas nationwide.

Exhibitors can hold their own sales and promotions efforts, in support of free and fair trade.

The bazaar also targets balikbayans, visitors from other provinces aside from the Cebuanos.

It will provide shopping convenience for people busy during the daytime and offers an alternate destination to those who like to go out at night.

Part of the proceeds of the event will support livelihood programs. (PR)
