Sacred Heart in SBP semis
THE Sacred Heart School-Jesuit’s (SHS-J) bets in the Small Basketeers of the Philippines (SBP) division barged into the semifinal round after tallying a lopsided 46-25 victory over Don Bosco College (DBC) over the weekend in the Milo Basketball Efficiency Scientific Training (Milo Best) at the Don Bosco College gym.
The victory placed SHS-J’s SBP squad atop Division B and the wards of SHS-J coach Rommel Rasmo are expected to have a smooth-sailing campaign in the semis as they are pitted against Division A’s no.2 team, University of San Carlos North Campus (USC-NC), in the crossover wars.
The other semis battle in the SBP division will feature the clash between 13-time defending SBP champion, USC-South Campus A and DBC.
The Paserelle team of SHS-J also eked out a win last Saturday, 65-48, versus Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) although the victory failed to prevent SHS-J from being eliminated in the tournament.
Ed Bonphyl Macasling led SHS-J with 12 points.
